10 Recipes for Date Night at Home
In the perfect world, I'll own a beach front property and be able to have a romantic dinner every night with the Mister. The evening would start with our favorite sounds playing with a mix of the ocean waves. The dinner would be in our dinner room which overlooks to our infinity pool, of course, we would floor to ceiling windows that open so we feel as if we were outside. We wouldn't have to leave our house for the perfect date night in. The atmosphere would be perfect, it will feel as if we're at the beach without leaving our home.
My reality
I don't live in a beach front home or know anyone that has anything close to the property mentioned above. A girl could dream, right? As a parent, I really dislike requesting a babysitter so date nights are typically done at home. Which has made me become creative with the setup, I don't have the perfect scenery to make the moment extra special. However, I am with the perfect guy so that's enough. One of my favorite things about having date night at home is not having to worry about the quality of the food of the restaurant. Bad food can quickly turn your date night to an epic fail. Let's not mention the food taking longer than expected and having to call the babysitter to let her know you're running late. Avoid the dinner reservations and the perfect babysitter by creating the perfect night at home. I compiled a list of my favorite items to cook at home. These recipes are super easy to make and the taste delicious. I typically make at least one of these recipes for my family on a whim during the week. Add some steamed veggies and rice to complete your meal and you have the perfect date night meal at home for you and your spouse.
