Our Story

I remember it just like it was yesterday. The news station had reports of a storm coming to Connecticut. However, we had no idea how serious the storm would be. I remember waking up to no lights, no heat, and a freezer full of food that by the moment was going bad. You see, when had a snow/ice storm in October for the first time. The trees were snapping by the second from the heavy load of snow and ice. Most gas stations had lines around the corner. Most of our family were without power except for my mother. (Due to the electrical wires for her town being underground.) 

I spent many days on her living room floor which as you could imagination was not the best situation. I was thankful though because most people had to stay at hotels, ( which were all booked) local schools and recreational departments to stay warm. I remember working at a nonprofit around that time. Most of my clients were without power so we were allowed to take vacation time off. I remember stopping by my home just to check on it and to get some additional clothes. 

I remember going to check out our basement. Seeing how we have a sub pump. (The only problem was we did not have any power for the pump to work. ) I finally went downstairs and to my surprise, the water was above my knees. 

I screamed, as I frantically tried to figure out how we were going to get the water out of our basement. Which housed our furnace. I grabbed some gallon buckets and the Mister and I tried to get the water out the best way we could. Until we received some help from our neighbor who came with his portable generator and commercial air blower. 

This was the first time I ever experienced something like this. I was so scared. I didn't know when the power would be restored. Since most of the state were without power. 

After a couple of days, our power was restored. I had tears of joy. Since then, we invested in a generator, now we're looking to invest in an air blower and/or a Dehumidifier. 

As a homeowner, investing in the right tools can save you such time and a potential headache down the line. I stumbled across a great site for homeowner and businesses owners. When I first moved into our home. Our kitchen flooring was... How can I put it? Not the most attractive flooring a home could have especially for it to be an older home. The first time I went to the Misters aunts house. I feel in love with her flooring. It's just something about the clean finish wood flooring gives to a kitchen. I love how they how just feel so great walking on. Especially with the cold New England weather we have. To me, they give off such a luxury feel.

Since we were blessed to have our original hardwoods floors in pretty much throughout of home except for our kitchen, bathroom, and hall. It's time for us to have a more consistent flooring flow through our home. 

I envision walking into my dream kitchen and just having that wow moment. You know that jar dropping moment you have when someone on social you follow on social media post a picture of their home and you feel as if it's too pretty to be really in a home.

You know that kitchen you dream about. The kitchen you're looking forward hosting family dinners and creating memories in? The kitchen that your family and friends say your wood flooring is too pretty to walk on. 

I just want that space that I brew my tea in, and just sit back against the cabinets and counter tops and say to myself. "This is really mines", "this is really my dream kitchen". You know, the moment you have a tear of joy drop down from your cheek with so much excitement. 

I've never had a kitchen that was everything I want and more and now is the time for me to get what I want to make our kitchen my everything and our dream home. 

I just feel that when you love the space you spend so much time in. It makes you want to be in that space even more.

It's been almost three months since I purchased my Damier Neverfull bag and I thought to myself why not give a recap? I know I find Blog post and YouTube videos like this really helpful.

I own three LV vintage/ previously owned bags. However, I really wanted to invest in the Neverfull bag. I honestly didn't know when, though. My sister purchased her Neverfull bag last year so she would always ask me "so when are you purchasing your bag?"

I honestly went back and forth with myself so many times. About which design I wanted. I opted to go with the Damier print. However, the big question was so when? 

Christmas came and went and nothing happened. A couple of days before my 30th birthday. I thought to myself "how cool would it be to purchase the purse my birthday?"

You see, Months prior I went on the LV website to determine how much the complete total of the purse would be. I love that you find out the complete prices with products with the tax included...

My closest LV store is at one of my local malls. The store opened a couple of years ago. 

The Day

The day of my birthday. I went to the mall with the Mister after going out to lunch with my mother-in-law.

I think I had butterflies in my stomach that entire night prior.

While at the LV store my assistant was very helpful. I knew exactly what I wanted. 

Size, print etc. so I was not in the store very long. I believe she offered to show me other products as well and even did like a full run through of the bag... 

Yup, I asked to have my items wrapped, why not? Next time I'm going to enjoy the full experience and ask for a catalog to look through. Lol j/k 

I received the care instructions. (Because the bags cannot be left in the gift boxes.) my receipt and was on my way. 

The person who helped me followed up with me by email which was really sweet. Since pictures are not allowed to be taken in the store. I did not take any.

I've lived in my home for over eight years now and the only room that we have barely touched is our bathroom. We've only painted the walls. Since we only have one bathroom in our home. This has been the hardest product to tackle. For several reasons. One being, how would this even work out? Since our scenario is not ideal for most homeowners.
