There's something almost magical about the decision to just... go. To pack a bag, set your GPS, and hit the open road. Two weeks ago, that's exactly what I did, trading Atlanta's urban rhythm for Alabama's rolling landscapes in a Soul Red Crystal Mazda CX-5. What started as a simple weekend getaway became an unexpected love affair with the journey itself.

The City Send-Off

As I loaded my weekend essentials into the CX-5's surprisingly spacious cargo area in downtown Atlanta, I couldn't help but notice how the sleek crossover caught the morning light against the city's glass and steel backdrop. The Mazda's sophisticated styling felt right at home among the luxury vehicles dotting the urban landscape, yet there was something refreshingly unpretentious about it.

Navigating out of the city gave me my first taste of what would become one of my favorite features: the 360° camera system. In a city where parking spots seem designed for vehicles half the size of modern cars, being able to see every angle made squeezing into tight spaces remarkably stress-free.
