From the moment I stepped into the stunning lobby of this historic building (originally built in 1923 as the London Guarantee Building), I knew I was in for something special. The juxtaposition of classic architecture with modern luxury creates an atmosphere that feels both timeless and contemporary. The check-in process was effortless, with staff who seemed genuinely excited for me to experience the property. 

The Room

I was assigned room 1235, a King Bed Corner Studio, and when I opened the door, I audibly gasped. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered sweeping views of the Chicago River and the city's magnificent architecture. The corner placement meant I had twice the view – a panoramic feast for the eyes that changed with the light throughout the day.

The king bed was the centerpiece of the room – plush, inviting, and dressed in crisp, high-thread-count linens that made sleeping in feel like a necessary luxury rather than an indulgence. A tasteful seating area by the windows became my morning coffee spot, where I'd sip Nespresso from the in-room machine while watching Chicago come alive below.
