Ok, so I was one of those people waiting for the FedEx person to come with my new bestie. No, I'm not one of those people who purchase a new iPhone every time it comes out. (nothing is wrong with it if that's your style) This is actually my second iPhone. I was never was one of those people who rush to get a new phone. I actually remember the day. I was able to upgrade ever year, and never really took advantage of the opportunity. (sigh)

Anywho, here is my submission for week 52.

If I could get around to making my "Fall Favorites" video. This would defiantly be included. I am super in love with Chai Latte's. I made the Tazo concentrate version for the first time this month. However, I usually try to keep it pretty simple and just use the Chai Tea bags + sugar. Then use the milk method here. To be honest, I purchased the immersion blender and really had no idea how much it would get used. ( I was starting to actually have buyers remorse) So you know I was beyond excited when I found a recipe that would have me using it daily...

It's something about having a Chai Latte that has me feeling Fancy. (slowing putting pinky down)

If you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram you were first to hear about my most recent makeup purchase. I found these bad boys 50% off at my local Target. I missed out on the pink brush set below (not really sure how). However, I was defiantly on the look on for the brushes above to go on sale. To my surprise. I found them on clearance. Which was a total score. If you follow me on Snapchat, you probably able to capture the other beauty finds I scored. (let's keep that between us).

Anywho, I am not by no means a pro makeup artist. I know some people who actually dislike this particular brand. However, I purchased her brushes before and they work just fine for me.

Here's my submission for Project 52 week 42. As much as I love photography. I am still nowhere close to being an elite photographer. I still feel that I have tons to learn in the ever so changing world of photography. Heck, I can barely take a good selfie half the time, LOL. Project 52 has really helped me, though. I definitely look at photography in a different way now...

I'm not sure why, but I make homemade pizza a lot in the fall and winter. I wanted to make a semi-homemade stromboli. However, I opted to just keep it safe and make a pizza. I can usually find pizza dough at my local supermarket for under a dollar. (Walmart sales pizza dough too) I know I took the lazy route especially since I made it again today. Just the thought of cleaning my KitchenAid mixer had me running to the store to purchase the dough. As you guys know I consider myself a vegetarian ~~(the world considers me a pescatarian.~~ I opted to just add red peppers, mushrooms and onions. I love how I have the option to just add what I want at the fraction of the cost. Plus, this is a super cute idea for pizza night. Have everyone make their own pizza. Also, I do own a pizza stone. However, I usually have trouble transferring the pizza dough to the stone. Yup, we own a pizza peel too... Hence, the reason I am using a baking sheet. (if you follow me on SnapChat @SimplyTasheena, I posted the finished product)

So as I was skipping through Michael's the other day. I noticed something different. At first I wasn't sure what I was looking at... Could this really be peel and stick wallpaper? (I asked myself). Yes, it is!!! I so need to add some more POP to our kitchen. I'm not sure what style I would go with based on the backsplash in our kitchen. However, I love that I have the option to change my mind at any time. Without the hassle of old school wallpaper. I found the link on Michael's website here. No, this is not a sponsored post. Here's my submission for this weeks Project 52. Every day I try to go for a morning walk and have included Lucky (my Fur Baby) in on the fun. It's something about the nice fresh air. Plus the beautiful leaves around this time of year.

As you guys know I'm all for trying new recipes. I found out about this recipe from Myleik via Snapchat. Every time she posted this recipe. I was drooling. On a whim, I decided to go to my local WholeFoods store for chicken breast. While I was at the store I noticed they had the Truffle oil in stock. However, I was not paying $10+ for the size bottle they had. For some reason I just knew Walmart would have it in stock, and to my surprise my local store did not carry this item. I ended up going to Target around the corner, this is why Target has my heart. They had the same exact bottle pictured in the blog post for around $10. YAY! It was late at night, and I really wanted to try this recipe. I am not a huge fan of lemon on my food. Hence the reason why it's not pictured. I did enjoy this dish and felt a little fancy at the same time. I actually love feta cheese so I knew it would be a plus with this dish.

If you follow me on Instagram I posted way, way back about requesting a dress form for Christmas. With me being away for the holidays I totally forgot about it. I thought about revisiting that gift idea. So of course I brought it up it to the mister and he made it happen. First I wanted the adorable one with the black dress. However, seeing how I wanted to use this dress form for multiple use and just not standing pretty in our home. I decided to actually look into some of the other dress forms in stock.

Prior to going to the store I noticed online that Hobby Lobby had very few dress forms in stock.

Upon arriving to the store I noticed only one dress form on the floor and it had a imperfection. Of course I went for assistance to see if they would be getting more in stock. The first person I came in contact with was a store manager stocking the shelves and he was super helpful. He showed me all of the dress forms that they had in stock. I noticed the super cute black dress form. However, it was super small and appeared that it could be only used to look pretty.

I decided to ask the manger if he could possibly give me a discount for the dress form with the imperfection and he gave me $10 off. I was super excited. Due to this being another "want" item checked off my list. YAY

It you follow me on poshmark. You would have seen that the dress form has been getting a lot of use. Now that I think about it, Hobby Lobby is the only store that I have seen sell dress forms that are not used for seamstress.

Let me start off by saying that I am not a huge fan of pumpkin anything (I'm more of a sweet potato fan, I could eat sweet potato anything throughout the year). I'm one of those people who have to be in the "mood" for it. (which usually comes around from September-November like most people). I had a can of pumpkin puree and decided to give a quick search on Pinterest for a recipe. I came across this super yummy recipe. I over cooked the muffins on purpose (I do not like mushy muffins). I also added a little more confectioner sugar to the frosting due to not liking the consistency. Overall, these babies were a huge hit in my home. I thought that they would be perfect to have on the go with coffee or tea. Especially on football Sunday.

Recipe Adapted from

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ginger

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin puree

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

FOR THE CINNAMON STREUSEL TOPPING

2 teaspoons cinnamon

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into cubes

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup brown sugar

FOR THE GLAZE

1/2 cup confectioners sugar

1-2 tablespoons milk

1 tablespoon of melted unsalted butter

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.

To make the streusel topping: combine flour, sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Add cold butter and toss to coat, using your fingers to work the butter into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse crumbs.

In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients, flour, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, salt, nutmeg, baking powder, and baking soda.

In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients, pumpkin puree, butter, eggs and vanilla.

Pour mixture over dry ingredients and stir using a spatula just until moist.

Scoop the batter evenly into the muffin tray. Sprinkle with reserved topping, gently press the crumbs into the batter.

Bake for 16-18 minutes, or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.

To make the glaze, combine confectioners sugar, milk, and butter. Whisk until smooth. If the glaze is too thin, add more confectioners’ sugar as needed.

Once done, cool for 10 minutes and drizzle the glaze on each muffin.

Allow glaze to set before serving.

Here's my submission for Project 52. One of the biggest perks about fall is Football season. Here are some pictures I captured at one of my sons football games. (he's number #28) I am usually too excited to actually take pictures while the game is in motion, and to my surprise. I captured a pretty good picture with the last image.
