If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen how I was able to score these boots from Aldo's for $20. YAY. I thought my mini me's birthday would be the perfect opportunity to wear them.

Today was a very low key day. I thought it would be a good idea to share my attire ( why not, right?) The Mister and I went on a frozen yogurt date.

Honestly, the boots are the most expensive item with this look. I want to say that everything not including the boots probably totaled $25.

Anywho, As you can see my look is pretty laid back.   

V-Day is officially over and done with. However, I could not end the month without sharing some of my frugal V-Day finds. My goal was to try and maximize my v-day budget. 

I decided that I was going to put together goodie bags for the Mister and my mini me. I purchased a book to add to their bags. Thanks to the Dollar Tree ( the Misters book is on the left and mini me's is on the right) 

I really loved how everything turned out. Plus my family loves everything too.

I was really excited how this batch turned out

I used my cookie scooper to make the balls.

The cookies turned out perfect. They were buttery, chewy, and full of flavor. I made some before and the cookies didn't come out the way chocolate chips supposed to taste. I'm happy to say that these cookies are not my go to recipe.

I had garlic noodles for the first time when I went California. I added shrimp to the dish and it was simply amazing. Of course, I had to give it a try. To my surprise, I had all of the ingredients on hand. Plus, this meal was super easy to make. The longest part was boiling the noodles which actually didn't take too long. I actually made this meal for myself. However, I do plan on making this meal in the future paired with chicken for my family. If you love garlic and are looking for the perfect meal or side-dish. Look no further. 

Garlic Noodles Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 tbsp Sugar
1 tbsp Water
2 tbsp Butter
1 tbsp Olive Oil 

12 oz noodles

3-5 cloves minced Garlic
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
1 tbsp Fish Sauce
In a pot start to boil the water for the noodles. While the water is getting ready to boil, combine the sugar, water, soy sauce, oyster sauce and water in a small bowl. Once the water starts to boil cook the noodles based on the instructions on the package.

In a big saute pan  add the butter and olive oil. allow the butter to melt. add the garlic, and cook for two minutes until the garlic starts to turn brown. Now add the liquid, and then the add the cooked noodles. Make sure that all of the noodles are coated with the sauce mixture and garlic.

Let's just say it was an epic fail. I mean I walked, and walked and could not find the store. Finally while in route to a restaurant I realized that we were near Zara or I at least was hoping so. The store was in the same exact location that I remember at Blogher. I was able to find so many great pieces for my son. With prices starting at as low as $4.99. YAY
