It’s your birthday! Another year stronger, wiser, and happier. I know your birthday is one of your favorite holidays. I don’t want to take up too much of your time. This last year has been an emotional rollercoaster for you. But you also created so many beautiful memories. You went on your first vacation, and it was truly memorable. I shared this recipe over the weekend on my YouTube and Tiktok, and I couldn't wait to share this recipe with you guys. Not only did this recipe turn out super juicy, but it was also a total crowd-pleaser. I love with this recipe that you can mix all of the ingredients in one bowl, and add your chicken to the grill.Recipe
IngredientsInstructions
- 4 Drumsticks
- 1/2 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tablespoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Preheat your grill with charcoal or medium-high heat for propane.
- Place the chicken in bowl
- Mix the dry the ingridents by combining the paprika, salt, parsley, cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder, in a small bowl.
- Sprinkle half the rub all over the chicken and briefly massage the rub in. turn the chicken over and repeat.
- Oil the grill so the chicken won't stick.
- Place the chicken on the hot grill.
- Cook the wings for about 12-15 minutes or until the bottom side is golden and charred (not burnt!).
- Flip the chicken over, and cook for another 12-15 minutes until the bottom is crispy and charred. The internal temperature of the wings should reach 165 degrees F, and there should be no pink inside.
- Remove the chicken from the grill and serve immediately.

It's the oficial start if the New Year, and it's the perfect opportunity to work on ways that you can practice more selfcare in your life. Whether you're hoping to create easy selfcare practices to implement on a whim or you simply would like to implement more self-care in your life this New Year. Below, I'm sharing Simple Ways To Practice Self-Care This New Year.
1. At-Home Spa Day
One of my goals this year is to focus on myself. I love the analogy that they give on the flight to take care of yourself first. Self-care is an emergency so treat it like an emergency situation and make yourself a property. Each week I set a self-care day. I make sure that I have my favorite self-care/beauty products in stock like.
2. Track Your Accomplishments
This year I started tracking my accomplishments and it's actually one of the best feelings in the world. Each morning I cross off my accomplishments from the day before, and it's actually has turned into a routine for me. Each month of track and focus on three new habits that I would like to turn into a routine, and in the areas that I need to work on. They'll carry over to the next month.
3. Mindful Eating
It's so important to watch what we eat. Too often we typically just grab and go, and do not strategically put any thought process into the foods in which we're consuming. It only takes a few minutes to create and execute a menu plan. Start by creating a list of all of the foods in which you have your home and the meals you can create with those items. Create a grocery list based off of the foods you need, and don't forget to include your snacks a well.
4. Unplug
As much as I love social media and the amazing connections that I've made. It's so important to incorporate a day to unplug and allow yourself to be the best version of yourself and live in the moment. This doesn't have to be the same day each month. Pick a day that works for you, and if the day isn't scheduled and it just happens. That's even better!
5. Gratitude
Whether it's keeping a journal of what you've done or accomplished. It's so important to show gratitude. It's also amazing to look back on and reflect on those not-so-perfect days.
6. The Joy of Gifts
As a parent, I've noticed it's super hard for us parents to gift ourselves. We always have everyone else's needs first and tend to put our wants last on the priority list. Whether it's a new book or a lipstick that's been on your "wish list" treat yourself to something special that you want.
7. Create
Whether it's creating a weekly spread for your planner or creating a batch of your favorite cookies. Take a moment to create. Doing what you love allows your creative juices to flow, and allows you to feel mindful and productive.
8. Build a Self-Care Kit
Of course, I save my favorite for last. I love building self-care kits. They're pretty much like rewarding yourself for self-care. I typically will fill a pretty box or basket with my favorite products like my favorite book or magazine, fuzzy socks, chocolate, and my scents and beauty items.
December really flew by, I can't believe how fast 2021 came and went. December is such a magical month for me. especially with everything going on with the holidays and all of the decor just makes it so magical... Shopping
I did not go crazy with after-Christmas sales. This used to be something that I would look forward to every year. However, now my children are older. I don't require a lot of the things that I needed when they were smaller.
Purchased Something I wanted
I purchased something that I wanted and I can't wait to do an unboxing for your guys.
Slept-In
I slept in whenever I could, it's such a nice reward to be able to sleep in as a parent. It really feels nice.
Plants
In November I pretty much started my plants journey over. I am proud of myself for paying extra attention to my little plant babies and also learning about ways to ensure that they thrive.

It's offically the start of the New Year, and as the saying goes "A Sunday Well-Spent Brings a week of good content." Creating a Sunday routine will really kickstart your week, and it's a wonderful way to set the tone for your week. Below, I'm sharing Things To Do Every Sunday for a Productive Week.
Things To Do Every Sunday for a Productive Week
Contact Family
As simple as it sounds, it's so easy to lose touch with friends and family, even with social media. Why not have a block of time on Sundays where you check in with friends/family. It's a great way to stay connected with loved ones, and abrest of upcoming events.
Take your clothes out for the week
This is something that I've been doing since my son was in preschool. Not only do I take out his clothes. I take out my clothes for the week as well. I'll typically have several outfit looks put together just in case I need to leave on a whim. I'm not spending hours putting looks together.
Wellness
Whether you exercise daily or weekly. Why not include a little wellness into your day? Whether you decide to go for a walk or do your normal workout routine. This is such a great way to kickstart a new week and healthy routines.
Journal
I've incorporated journaling into my daily routines, however, if you can't journal on a daily basis. I would at least suggest journaling every Sunday to decompress and get your thoughts out from the prior week. There are so many writing prompts for journaling. Just do a quick Google search to get inspired. You don't need a fancy journal. I just use the one that I purchased from Target.
Go Grocery Shopping
Based on my menu plan, it makes it a lot easier for me to go grocery shopping. I know what I need for the week, and I'm able to get my home fully stocked, especially since winter is fast approaching, and snow days will be following closely after. Since I tend to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, I tend to go to the grocery once a week. However, do what works for your family, maybe based on your needs you only need to go to the grocery store once or twice a month. Do what works best for you and your family.
Meal plan for the week
If you've been following me for a while, you know that I meal plan weekly, for myself, and my family. It takes a ton out of the stress of "what's for dinner" everyone already knows what for dinner. I don't have to run to the store to pick up items, and a lot of times. I can place the items in the crockpot, and it's done prior to everyone returning home for the day.
Wash clothing
Though I typically try to was load clothes at least every other day. I try my best to make sure that all of the clothing in our home is washed by Sunday. It just makes for a better transition into the new week, especially with having children who play sports.
Clean your home
I'm not sure if I'm the only person, but I can not function properly if my home is dirty. Let not forget about taking twice as long to look for something due to it not being properly placed in the correct destination, and/or it's covered over a pile. Take a moment to clean your home.
Review Your Planner and/or Schedule
I know this may sound simple. But it's super easy to add stuff to your planner, and/or phone, and totally forget about it. Trust me, get into the routine of checking all of your planners/calendars on Sunday in order to properly prepare for the week ahead.
Schedule/plan your week out
As the saying goes, a goal without a plan is just a wish. Plan your week out, create goals for yourself. This really does cut back on forgetting to do stuff. Do you need a refill on your prescription, do you have to return a call or follow up on email. This is the perfect time to plan out your week.Create a To-Do List

- Tuesday: Follow up on Ambers Email
- Wednesday: Looking into Doctoral Degree Programs
- Thursday: See about any new job opening
- Friday: Schedule a Lunch date with Marina
I've learned that I'm highly productive during the week when I create a to-do list on Monday. You can easily section the list down to items that need to be completed by a certain day of the week of prioritizing your list in any way that you see fit. This really cuts out constantly thinking on Monday or even trying to remember everything that needs to get done. You can also always add to your list.
Create an At-Home Spa Day
I know this might sound silly, however for me personally, it's so nice to start off my week rejuvenated from just simply having an at-home spa day. This honestly doesn't have to take much, and you can do what works best for you.
