One of my favorite treats is dipped berries. This was my first time making the berries using the candy melts. At first, I wasn't too sure about the idea. However, I didn't want to go through the trouble of coloring white chocolate. Seeing how I have a 50/50 chance of burning it.
I originally saw this post on Pinterest and thought it would be a good idea to do a trail run prior to hosting Easter Dinner with my family.
This recipe is super easy to make and let me tell you that I think I actually prefer the candy instead of chocolate. It's just such a different taste. I love how they turned out and the even look like miniature carrots. I created a video tutorial showing just how easy they are to make.
Dipped Easter Themed Berries
Directions
- Place the Candy Melts to be used as a base color in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave at half power for 1 minute and stir well. Continue to microwave and stir at 30-second intervals, until the candy is smooth and melted.
- Dip clean, dry strawberries into the melted Candy Melts.
- Place them on a parchment covered cookie sheet and chill in the refrigerator until firm.
Have you tried making dipped berries?
