Drab to (somewhat) Fab
Hey Guys!
Okay, so I'm tired of procrastinating! Over the weekend I spent most of my time sanding, priming and painting this beauty ... (prior post)
When I first brought this item . I really was not sure what I was going to use it for. I knew I could not leave it at my local Goodwill store. Plus with the price tag of $3.00. This baby was coming home with me :). One of the reasons this project has been on hold for so long was due to me not knowing where to put it. First I thought maybe our Tween's room, living room or guest room and out of nowhere I had an aha moment! I knew the perfect place would be in our bedroom. I really wanted to paint this beauty all fur white. However, I did not properly sand the top and it started to yellow :(. Luckily when I went to my local Homedepot I purchased the fur white paint along with some oops paint. Can you believe it the oops paint was only two dollars! YAY.
(Sanded, Primed and painted with one coat)
I pretty much followed the process similar to the one Mrs. Chic used for her dresser. After four coats of primer and fours coats of paint. I decided to paint the top purple with the oops paint and I used old knobs I had around the house.
It fits nice and snug in my little corner... It still does not give me that WOW factor. But it will due for right now!
