If you haven't checked out my other post about my trip you can do so below.
(Picture taken inside of the Beach Tower)The Beach Tower I read so many negative reviews regarding this tower on the booking site. So my guard was “all the way up”. The room was very simple. Beachy feel. Our room was well kept. I didn't see anything regarding the wallpaper peeling or items broken around the room. We were upgraded upon arriving, and the view was absolutely breathtaking from our room. I mean breath taking. I would defiantly stay at the Beach tower again. However, I would like to visit and stay at the other towers as well. The other towers are closest to the water slides. Also, the Beach Tower rooms do not include a microwave. You also receive water bottle vouchers which were pretty cool.
I did visit the other Tower and it is a clear difference in the style. I noticed that the other towers were more luxurious in the lobby areas. Again, the Beach tower had a beach theme to me.
(At the Resort)
The Grounds As prior stated the grounds were well kept. The employees at the resort were always cleaning. They were not in my way. Meaning as I was walking I didn't have to keep on saying excuse me. They were out of my walking path before I even got next to them and they were very polite and helpful, always.
Food Selection I noticed that there was not a huge selection of Bahamian Cuisine. For some that may be a good thing and for others it may not. I really did love the Marina connected to the resort which gave a pretty good selection of familiar foods. I did not have any issues with the food. Trust me, I would tell you! I am really picky about where I eat at.
The beaches on the resort were clean. Please note that the water rides close I believe before 8pm.
What To Do?
There are tons of things to do while at the resort. You really do not have to leave off the resort unless you want to. They have everything from snorkeling, to jet skiing... Plus a teen club too. Trust me, your family will not get bored. You could honestly spend more of your time on the water rides. It's so beautiful and so much fun. Check out my post here for more ideas.Vendors on the beach? I haven't stayed at many resorts. However, how expensive the Atlantis resort could possibly be. I really wasn't sure why they had vendors on the tower beach side. I don't believe I see the vendors on the rest of the beach. However, they weren't aggressive at all, and they didn't bug me. It was just weird. I don't believe they were employed by the resort. If so, my apologies. I believe that they probably rent space. But again, they did not bother me what so ever, and did not keep on asking me to purchase something.
During the last stay at our resort, I noticed that work was being done near our room. Let's just say I was not a happy camper. Not sure when resorts are supposed to get the work done. However, it feels the worse when it's during your vacation or at least my vacation. I spoke with management and they were super sweet and patient. They honestly just wanted to make me happy. Which goes a long way with me. (I would like to give a suggestion to resorts, is it possible to learn at check-in if any maintenance work is going to be done? Or even have the maids leave notices or have the notices already placed in the rooms on the tables? Just trying to brainstorm here...)
The Bahamas is just one of those places that you just don't visit once. I'm looking forward to my next trip to the Bahamas. If you were going to ask, if I would go again. Yes!!! The entire process was just so simple. From the airport to the resort and back to the airport was very stress-free. Do you have a question about my stay at the Atlantis Resort? Please feel free ask it in the comment section.
