Grilled Glazed Salmon

It feels like forever since I tried a new recipe for my family. Per our menu plan, we were supposed to have something totally different for dinner. However, since I forgot to make sure that we had all of the items needed. My family is having this meal instead.

I will say that my family LOVED this recipe. The salmon smelled so good on the grill. I wanted to try a sample so badly (I'm trying to be good with my diet. ) This recipe is super easy to make and I'm pretty sure you already have the ingredients on hand. I opted to actually grill this recipe and not put it on the stove. However, that's totally optional.

Anywho, have you tried any new recipes lately?

Ingredients

1 1⁄2 cups brown sugar, packed
1 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon honey
2 -3 lbs salmon fillets, skin on, deboned
1 scallions chopped to garnish ( optional )

Directions

  • In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and honey mixing well.
  • Rinse the salmon, pat dry and place in a Ziploc bag or food prep bowl
  • Pour the mixture into the bag on top of the salmon
  • Carefully slide the salmon onto the grill, skin side down (if using a grill heat te grill on low, if using a stove with a grill pan, place the stove on medium high.)
  • Cover grill and cook salmon, undisturbed, for 5 minutes exactly.
  • Baste liberally with the reserved basting sauce, re-cover, and cook another 10-15 minutes- basting every 5 minutes.
  • Use up all of the basting sauce
  • ( Salmon is ready when it begins to flake and is starting to appear as if milk is seeping out.
  • Carefully remove to a fresh, clean platter and enjoy!

  7. The glazing on the salmon sounds amazing. I will be trying that. I just am really afraid of grilling the salmon. I am very picky about my salmon and don't want to feel it burnt or crispy. I know some people like it that way but I am not one of them.
