I recently tried sugar waxing at home for the first time and I'm really impressed with how well it works. I'm not sure what I assumed it was going to be like, However, it's super easy to use, and it works! I love that this recipe is super affordable and you may already have the ingredients on hand.
Have you tried sugar waxing?
Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice (or apple cider vinegar or lime juice)
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Place a medium-sized pot on the stove and add all ingredients to the pot.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, making sure to stir frequently to avoid burning.
- Once the mixture starts bubbling, reduce to medium heat and continue to stir frequently. (Do not use the same spoons)
- Remove the pot from heat when the mixture turns golden brown. The consistency of your sugar paste should be similar to hot syrup.
- Transfer to a bowl and let the paste cool for 30 minutes. The wax should still be warm but easy to manipulate. The wax sugar should be kept at room temperature, do not refrigerate.

I will have to make this! I could use a wax and this seems easy enough.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is so affordable. Store bought waxes are so pricey. I guess I have to try this.
