Happy New Year

Life has changed so much since I created Our Delightful Home now Simply Tasheena. I have two teenagers. One who can drive and is living life and another who is doing his own thing. I am so proud of both of them. OMG, this time next year I'll have a kid in college and another in high school. Where did time go? If anything 2016 has taught me that time doesn't wait for anyone. I've learned in 2016 to stop making so many excuses and take action. I am so proud of myself in many ways. I finally feel as if I stepped my photography game up a little something. I've also started posting four days a week. Monday through Thursday. I still have to work on beefing up my content. I am still proud of myself. In this space, I share what my family is loving. I hope to get back into decorating. PLEASE! I really love decorating however, we're busting out of the seems of our current home with space and storage. We have to move into a longer home this year. I am claiming it!!!!

In 2016 I also started to share more of what I wear. I am not a trend follower. I wear what I like. I hope to inspire women to use what they have to pull looks together. You don't have to spend a ton to look fabulous. I created this blog because I really love all things creative from baking, cooking, crafts, to fashion.

Ummm, yes, all of my hobbies take up a lot of space. I plan to share more of my family. Yes, I actually do have a Mister. I also plan to post more video on YouTube. One of my biggest investment in 2016 was in my Canon 80D. This camera has been nothing but amazing to me. I have to stop being so stingy with my photos and video. I also have to stop being so hard on myself and wanting things perfect. I love watching the journey of YouTubers videos and I have to realize that's the space I'm in now. My content will only get better. Also, I have to show appreciation to my Canon T3 as well. This camera has been amazing to me. I take most of my blog photos to this baby.So what do you have to look forward to in 2017?

Simply Tasheena 2017

  • I will post more content on YouTube weekly.
  • I will continue to share recipes that my family loves.
  • I will start sharing more of my family.
  • I will continue to inspire you to be the best YOU.
  • I will share crafts that are actually worth doing (hopefully, some sewing projects).
  • I will share more tips on ways my family is saving.
  • I will continue to work on my photography.

I hope you will stick around and continue to join me on my journey. PLEASE don't be shy and share my content.
I have, to be honest, though if you're looking for perfection this is not the blog for you. I am not perfect, my pictures are not perfect. My social media accounts are not perfect. (Have you seen my Instagram feed, it's a clear indication that I am not perfect.) I do not try to keep up with the Jones. You're more than welcome to stick around though if you think this space is for you. Also, I will sprinkle in sponsored post like glitter. (That's how some of the bills are paid around here.)

Okay, this is it. Thank you for the people who have continued to read my blog. You are part of the reason that I keep going. I really do like blogging. Thank you! This is my happy space.
