Friday already? This week really feels like it flew bye… How was your Easter? We had Easter Dinner at our house with our first Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Egg Hunt was a huge success. The kids loved it. We also colored eggs, which the kids loved as well. Since Michael is getting older, I wasn’t sure if he would still be interested in those types of actives. However, he was super excited.  I also made homemade upside down peach cake. I made the semi homemade version before, but the homemade version was amazing! Of course I had to put a little twist to the recipe…I finally purchased two DSLR memory cards for my camera. Just in enough time for mini-me starting karate this week. This weekend I have a book club to attend, I am also trying to get my coupon grove back. So most likely I will be clipping coupons, and of course watching basketball.

Well, enough about me, I would love to know how everyone is doing.

 

Friday already? This weekend I will be planning Our East Dinner, we plan on having a couple of friends and family over... How cool would it be to have an Easter Egg Hunt in our backyard???!!! I’m sure the kids will love it as well, and I also could decorate the brown lunch bags I have as little bunnies (the ideas are flowing in, LOL)… Mini-me basketball season has officially ended, and his team won their last game. (It’s not all about winning but, it put a smile on his face). I still have to purchase a memory card for my DSLR camera I really would like to start having a series of our weekend in pictures, or Wordless Wednesdays so we will see!(side note: does anyone know of any reputable places online that sales good quality camera stuff for a good price?) I still have so many little projects that I need to get done around the house. (***sigh**)

I hope everyone had an amazing week. Today the kids did not have school. It is snowing outside. YAY!! Last weekend, we had a surprise party for my official tween. He turned 10 last Wednesday, he was so happy to have his friends and family over (this was his first sleepover). I was so happy to plan a party. Also, this weekend is Michael’s last basketball game for the season. He is so happy about this final game…

Any who, our weekend is going to be pretty low key  we may bring the kids sledding or bowling, and of course I will try to bake something.  I really need to get back in the habit of menu planning. It really just makes the week flow better, I also think I’m going to start doing “Wordless Wednesday’s” or “My Weekend In Pictures”.  Not really sure which one I’m going to do…Also, my darling sister gave me a solid wood dinning set with the matching chairs. I think I’m more excited about the chairs more than anything. I’m thinking about painting the entire set black. I will share a picture s of the set with you guys very soon. She also has a couple of other items I may snag…

I hope everyone had an amazing Valentine’s Day. I was so excited to finally be able to use the V-day items I purchased last year. This weekend is going to be pretty low key. My mini-me has a basketball this weekend, which I am really excited about. I have nominated myself to be team mom “the coached don’t know it yet though, LOL”. I also have a natural hair event to attend over the weekend, which I am very excited to attend!!! I look forward to sharing with you guys a glance of my V-day décor and sweet. I finally made heart shaped sugar cookies with red sprinkles (trust me when I say I am going to master decorating sugar cookies, just watch and see) ...

It’s snowing in my state so my Friday has been pretty low Key. Due to the inclement weather Mini-me’s basketball game was canceled for tomorrow due. So hopefully we will have enough snow to bring the kids sliding. I have taken advantage of being snowed in, by getting an early start on spring cleaning, which has been really fun getting rid of stuff that has no purpose in our home any longer.

Early this week my local consignment store had a dollar event which was really fun. I was able to score a couple of really cute items for the house…Last Sunday was bitter sweet with football being officially over for this season…I did enjoy the football game with the Beyonce performance which was a bonus! 

 Well, enough about me, I would love to know how everyone is doing.

The second weekend of the New Year! How are things going? I still have some Christmas decorations that still haven’t made it to the garage. Mini had his first game last week, which went well. I also had to bring him to the emergency room on Sunday (Thank you everyone for your well wishes on Instagram) He is feeling a 100% better, it was his asthma acting up, but he’s a champJ. We have to decide on a color for our living room which is in need of a serious paint job. (We have no idea, if we want to go dark or light with the color choice)

Anywho, we will be watching football and basketball this weekend. And Mini-me has another game on Saturday!

Can you believe it? 4 days left until Christmas!

My family and I are super excited about this weekend. Since we did not get a chance to bring the kiddos to the light show last year, hubby and I may surprise them this year. I still have never been ice-skating before maybe that can be a date night idea for us. I still have three holiday cards that did not get mailed out (I was being really lazy this year) However, our weekend will also consist of a mini sleepover for mini me. Baking homemade cookies and maybe even donuts…Last but defiantly not lease football on Sunday!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes. I am feeling almost 100% better. I really cannot believe that we have less than two weeks until Christmas. We are hosting dinner at our home this year, and I think our house is about half way ready, LOL (just being honest) we just have so much stuff, for such a small space. I may go to home depot this weekend and purchase two more shelves; my goal is to purchase 6-10 in total we currently have three shelves. I know that may seem over board but it would be nice to have a shelf for the different items in our home i.e. clothing, gardening etc.

Any who, Our Silent Auction went great, (I have to remember to post pictures) I made mostly all of the appetizers, and I also made these adorable semi homemade cupcakes. The cake batter was from the box, and the frosting was homemade. I received raved reviews on everything that I made.

 As always, we will be watching football, and basketball this weekend. And Mini-me starts basketball this weekend!
