Happy Friday (Happy New Year)
Happy New Year! Christmas dinner went great at my house. All
of my family came over, and it was so much fun. I made my homemade red velvet cupcakes,
which everyone loved (usually only make red velvet cake during the holidays).
This year, our menu was really simple. It consists of Turkey, baked macaroni
and cheese, tuna salad, Spanish rice, stuffing, upside down pineapple cake and red
velvet cake. I have come to the conclusion to make things a little easier for
myself to slice and wrap (individually) the upside pineapple cake. So once everyone
is ready to leave, this can take a slice to go.
News Eve, we brought it in with the kiddos, and pizza. It
was so much fun taking pictures of them playing games, and dancing to music. News
Years day, we went to brunch at my husband’s aunt house, and later that day we
went to dinner over my MIL house, and my sister had a party for my aunt at her
house (her birthday is New Year’s Day)...
I really need to get back in the habit of trying new recipes
every week, and menu planning…
As always, we will be watching football and basketball this
weekend. And Mini-me has his first basketball game this weekend.
Have a wonderful weekend!
