Our Trip to Lake George Recap -In Pictures

For the last couple of years, I’ve been in directly avoiding going to Lake George. You see, my sister went with her best friend close to ten years ago and they had a ball. However, the way she described it. The vacation was more like a camp type of vacation. I’m just not the outdoorsy type of girl. Thus, the reason that I didn’t go with them the first time they went. As I was trying to find places to go on vacation last year, the Mister and I brainstormed a family vacation bucket list. He was super excited about the idea of putting Lake George on our list and he loved that it was just a couple of hours away. I noticed last year that looking for a hotel in Lake George for July in July was like looking for a needle in a hay stack. So I knew I had to get out of my planning on a whim stage and actually strategically plan a family vacation. Fast forward to spring 2017 and I was looking online for places to visit. I surprisingly found a really nice hotel on Groupon in Lake George which I was really excited about finding a lodging place that wasn’t a cabin. I selected a date right around the Mister’s Birthday which made the trip extra special.
I’m happy I decided to get out of my comfort zone is book this trip. It couldn’t have picked a better location. Walking out and seeing the lake view each day was breath taking. It was so nice to just walk around and explore. Everywhere I turned there was a gorgeous view. The Mister loved his time there as well and he’s already thinking about our next visit. I will say that I had a great time as well. It was so nice to just get out and relax and vacation. Michael enjoyed himself as well, as many of you know. Getting your teens away during the summer can sometimes be a challenge. He didn't complain one bit and really liked the atmosphere.
