This trip has been sponsored by the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce. All opinions are entirely my own.

I had the most amazing experience visiting Cape Cod. This was my first time ever visiting this coastal getaway in Massachusetts. I drove from Connecticut, and it was such a relaxing drive. It took a little under three hours, and honestly, the drive went by super fast because the views were so beautiful. Visiting Cape Cod was such a life-changing experience for me. Every scenic view really felt as if I was watching a Hallmark movie. Every turn was picture-worthy and simply breathtaking. I can’t wait to explore all fifteen towns! Until then, I’m sharing all of the details about my recent trip.

Where I Stayed
During my visit, I stayed at Chapter House in Yarmouth Port. Chapter House is the Cape’s newest luxury boutique hotel and was such a true gem. Chapter House is centrally located on historic Route 6A, just minutes away from the beaches and the best shops and restaurants. Every left turn pretty much leads to a beach. I loved all of the greenery. My coastal-inspired guest room exceeded my expectations. It was as if I were staying in a dreamy room right out of Better Homes & Gardens Magazine. The fire pit was so relaxing after a busy day of exploring. The complimentary breakfast was such a nice touch. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and hearing the vision behind this luxury hotel, and it was a remarkable story (the renovated inn is situated in a Victorian mansion dating back to 1716). Jim, the manager, was so nice and available to answer any questions that I had. Though I had my own itinerary, I’m so happy that I met with Michelle, who’s a local. She was super sweet and really mapped out my itinerary for me. The Concierge service was a great added bonus. Chapter House Staff really provided me with five-star service. My only regret about this hotel is that I could not stay longer.

Where I Dined

I dined at so many fantastic restaurants during my trip with so many unique views. I received first-class service at each and every restaurant I dined at. All of my meals were fresh and delicious. Also, most of the places I dined at were just minutes from the Chapter House and offered plenty of parking.
Restaurants
  • The Dockside Restaurant at Hyannis Harbor
  • Tugboats at Hyannis Marina
  • Brax Landing in Harwich Port
Explored
I explored so many incredible places. Mayflower Beach in the town of Dennis was my first stop during my full day there. I loved that they offered plenty of onsite parking, and plenty of space to simply be in the moment, and of course enjoy the beach. Also, Mayflower Beach is just minutes from the Chapter House.
Lemon Tree Village Shops offers a truly unique shopping experience, from sweet treats to handmade items for your home from local artists, plus artists all over the United States.
Gray’s Beach in Yarmouth Port (also near Chapter House) offered stunning views. It was so beautiful to just simply watch the sunset from the boardwalk. There are also plenty of walking trails nearby.

During my travels, I randomly stopped at Slough Pond in the town of Brewster. It was such a pretty scenic view.

The Cape Cod Lavender Farm in Harwich was also on my list of places that I wanted to explore. They offer so many handmade products and had a great selection of plants. It was such a nice experience and I also purchased a lavender plant for my garden at home.
I really could have spent all day at the Stony Brook Grist Mill and Museum in Brewster. I went for a beautiful walk there, and every turn simply felt magical.

Tips for Visiting Cape Cod

Dining
Call ahead to make reservations and/or to see what the current wait time is. Many restaurants offer outdoor dining on intimate patio spaces or overlooking the water.
Driving
I drove to Cape Cod during off-peak times and did not encounter any traffic. The day/time is a huge factor. Plan accordingly.

Beaches
Bring your own essentials like towels, chairs, and umbrellas. Most beaches require paid parking or a parking permit in season. Do your due diligence prior to your visit.

Enjoy
You’re on vacation, enjoy!
