Easy Ways to Give Yourself Self-care

As a busy mom and suppose it's so important that I practice care on a regular basis. As a mom, I always like to refer to the flight oxygen rules. I can't help anyone if I don't put my oxygen mask on first. Below I'm sharing easy ways to give yourself self-care.

Rest Often
I know depending on your schedule and the age of your children. Learn that it's okay to rest well, and or take naps. If you have small children, hire a babysitter or makes friends with another mom and babysit for each other.

Travel Well 
A few years ago I started taking solo trips. It was the best thing I could have done for myself. I typically only go for a few days. However, I feel so rejuvenated upon my return. It's just so nice to not have to consider anyone else feelings. I don't have to set my itinerary around anyone likes/dislikes etc.

Eat Well & Often
I just want you to know that it's okay to eat well. When you do, make sure that you eat well often. Last year I started incorporating more date nights for myself. These days I typically indulge in all of my favorite foods, and of course, try new foods as well.

Take a Break from Social Media 
I love social media. However, I do know that it can be possibly toxic to others at times. It's okay to take breaks from social media. I actually know people who take planned social media breaks throughout the year.

  1. I took a long break from social media when I spent two weeks on the island of St. Lucia in July. It was so needed. I have to remind myself to be good to myself so I can be good to others.

  6. You definitely need time for yourself! I have not done a solo vacation before but a lot of these are the things I have tried. Maybe I need to try one of these solo vacations.

  9. These are very good tips for taking good care of yourself. Eating will always be on top of the list as our health is the most important thing we should take care of. It's also good to take a break from social media from time to time! I totally recommend that.

  12. I am a big fan of the break from social media thing. I know from a business stand point that I need to take it more seriously and spend more time there but I just can't stand it to be honest. I may have to hire someone to take those accounts over for me.

  13. I think these are all wonderful ideas. I think everyone needs to do some self care sometimes. I love to take breaks often because we all need it. I love the idea of traveling well. I love to travel when I can.
