Our 2018 Summer Bucket List
The last day of school is fast approaching for Michael. He will be completing his first year of high school. It’s so bittersweet because he only has three more years left after this school year. One of the things I love about living in New England is that there’s so much to do locally and within driving distance. That’s why I typically don’t travel during the summer months. With that being said, we tend to go to the same places and I’m really hoping of actually creating a calendar with dates This year of places that I would like to visit instead of just creating a list. I will include tentative dates with rain dates as well. The only issue we've had in the past is the weather. Most of the places I would prefer to visit on a sunny summer day.
Also, this may also be Michael’s last year of having the summer free. Due to possibly attending basketball and football camps and next summer. Plus the option of actually working a summer job. So I’m really hoping to a cram in all of those beautiful sites that I haven’t been able to see in the prior years. Michael is pretty flexible when it comes to the list. All he cares about pretty much is shopping and eating. (That clearly shows that he is my child.) Typically I'll just go over the itinerary with him.
I would love to take more day trips this year as well. Just seems like last summer we really didn’t take many. Especially when we have so many beautiful states in close proximity. Below I'm sharing our Summer Bucket List. This list may grow in the event I learn about new places.

ReplyDeleteIt is always fun to make a bucket list and mark each one off as you do it. Your bucket list sounds fun and the whole family would enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI have always always wanted to visit the Hamptons! We have actually never been to New York and it is on my life's bucket list!!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have some great things planned for the summer. Enjoy it! Those highschool years fly by! :-( My oldest graduated highschool last summer and then just graduated boot camp from the Navy. It's crazy!
ReplyDeleteYou have some great ideas! We have a public pool about a mile from our house and I intend on using it quite a bit. I will have to try on a couple that you suggested here too.
ReplyDeleteThat's an awesome summer bucket list. That's so much to cross off, even if you don't knock off every single one, I'm sure you'll have so much fun with whatever you can get to.
ReplyDeleteGreat bucket list places. I've been to the Statue of Liberty, it was an awesome experience.
ReplyDeleteCoincidentally we are going to Boston and NY too! Fun summer list!
ReplyDeleteI have to have a summer bucket list or I just lose the time. I will sit home on a hot weekend and do nothing.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a bucket list for summer or any other season. We're home in the air conditioning most of the summer and my son has school.
ReplyDeleteMiniature Golf is so much fun to do with kids. We haven't done that for a while which remind me that we should.
ReplyDeleteIt's really awesome to have a summer bucket list for the whole family. It makes the summer more worthwhile and you get to spend more time together as well.

ReplyDeleteI love that you have a bucket list with specific destinations. I feel like summer is already flying by and there's no way we are going to fit in everything we want to do before school starts. Our summer bucket list is a little more vague but I'm sure my daughters would love to squeeze in some specific local places and short distance day trips.
ReplyDeleteSounds like your have quite the Bucket List for this summer! I hope you accomplish it all!!
