Menu Plan Monday: Week of 11/13/17

Happy Monday & Welcome Back to Menu Plan Monday!

If you follow me on social media. I tried a couple of new recipes last week. My family is really, really, really picky eaters. Thus, the reason that I'm always trying and creating new recipes. They ended up having whitening fish instead of the shrimp Alfredo because I forgot to purchase the alfredo sauce from the store out of the hundred times I went last week. Am I the only person who does that? Goes to the store with a list and still forget items?  *sigh*

back to the whitening fish. My family loves fried fish. However, to be honest I would have made it because we do not eat fried food too often. The only problem is that I really am not that great at frying food without my deep fryer. *sigh*

I quickly looked at what I had on hand and the magic happened. I love lemons, however, my Mom never really incorporated them into our meals growing up. As an adult, I really try to create variety when it comes to menu planning. You never know if you're not going to like something until you try it. My family loved the meal though I didn't get to take any pictures of the meal. Hoping I don't forget to do it this week when I recreate the Lemon Garlic Fish.

I also made a yummy mushroom rice recipe that was inspired by a facebook recipe I seen. Michael loved the rice and fish recipe so much. He even asked for just a plate of rice with mushrooms. Can't wait to share the recipes with you guys.

Anywho, It has been pretty cold around these parts. I'm so already missing the summer. I hope you had an amazing weekend!

  1. Buffalo wings sound delicious to me today! Perhaps we havent had any meat last week and I am craving for some chicken! I am lucky having both my daughter and husband eating whatever I make...

  2. Menu for the week looks good. I fry with a deep fryer too but even that was a long time ago. Last time I made donuts with it! My picky eaters do eat fish from Captain D's but I haven't made fried at home. Shrimp Alfredo (with homemade sauce) is a big hit here!
