Blueberry + Banana + Oak= Smoothie (Vegan smoothie)
Can you believe it's almost fall? It was super cool this morning in Connecticut. I decided to make myself a smoothie and guess what? I was out of yogurt... Of course I didn't allow that to stop me. I used what I had on hand!
Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup raw quick oats
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup blueberries ( I used frozen)
- 1 ripe medium banana ( I sliced the banana)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract ( optional- I forgot to add this)
- 1/2 cup ice
I added everything in the blender and allowed my blender to use the smoothie setting. I didn't add sugar because I am trying to cut back on sugar. Actually, due to the banana being so ripe. It really sweatened the smoothie for me.
