My Trip to IKEA #DIY

I’m not sure if I mentioned this. However, the closest Ikea is close to an hour away from me (with no traffic).Usually when I pass by to go to NY or surrounding towns. It’s usually during the time I’m not driving the van or I’m unable to stop. Well, yesterday I was determined to stop, and I told the Mr. that I would be stopping, LOL (I wanted to warn him) I had my catalog circled with the items I had interest in. My walking shoes, comfortable clothing (hey the store is HUGE, you have to prepare)

By the time I went through the first floor. I was ready to remodel my entire house. I tried my best to snap a couple of pictures of displays that caught my eye.

It’s amazing how a couple of details can turn your drab living space into a fab living space.
So of course as soon as I came home I was in design mode. I purchased two rugs, in hopes to redecorate our front porch. I actually front runner mates that I tuned into rugs buy connecting them. I will try to show pictures.  I also found these super cute white lanterns to brighten up the space as well.
PS: I love multi-functional pieces. The picture above is a daybed that can be used as a sofa, bed or two twin size beds.

Anywho, any new DIY projects going on? Is Ikea close to your home?

Thanks For Stopping By!

  3. I just came from Ikea earlier this week. They have so many great things and I just love how they style each room. Ikea is pretty close to me in Atlanta. Just about a 20 minute trip or 5 minutes when I am at work!

  6. I live in Ikea. Was there a few weeks ago. Purchased my daughter a bed frame and dresser. I love it for all of the little accessories especially for children's spaces. Looking forward to see what you do with your new purchases!

  7. I've never been to an Ikea (I know). We don't have a car and with the children always with me, there's never been a real opportunity to go. I would love to do some sort of diy/interior decorating in our flat. Hopefully when the tripolatas start school full time I'll find the time to visit.
