Ways to Save This Holiday Season
I absolutely love the holidays. However, I've learned very early on that you can plan for the holidays in advance or you can wait until the last minute. Trust me, I get it! No, I'm not going to suggest that you open an account. Nope, it's never too early to start saving for 2020. However, I will share tips below that will assist you with saving for this year. Below, I'm sharing my must-know tips to assist you with saving for the 2020 holiday season.
Ways to Save This Holiday Season
Create a List
He's creating a list checking it twice... ok, of course, you're not Santa but it's so important to create a list, and know who you're purchasing for. Once you've created a list. Know the item(s) you would like to purchase for each person. It's never to early to ask your kids (friends/family) what they want for Christmas. Knowing what to look out for is going to save you a ton of money. Especially, if you start purchasing the items in advance before they become a hot holiday item.
Follow Sales
Now that you have your list. It's so important to follow the sales AD for the stores. Especially, stores like Target. You should know the likely hood of that item going on sale. If it ever does. Somethings it's more important to purchase the item for peace of mind, especially, if it's a hot ticket item.
I can not stress enough how easy it is to save with apps like:
TopCashBack \ Ebates \ Ibotta. I use these apps for all of my shopping. I highly would suggest joining them. They're super easy to use, and the cashout process is really simple. I love that a lot of them have the option to cash out with a check, PayPal, and even gift cards.
Price Matching
Most stores offer price matching. It's so important to know the price matching policy. This is when it's so important to start early if you can. Most items can be returned if your child changes their mind. Some stores even offer price matching for online purchases as well. Just know, that it has to be exactly the same product.
Abandon Cart
Though I’ve never used this method. This is an awesome way to save on items that you purchase online. Not all companies offer discounts. However, it doesn’t hurt to try. This is how the offer basically works. Add items to your shopping cart and leave the items in the cart. A lot of times some stores will send an exclusive Offer if your purchase the items in your cart.
Mobile Offers
Many stores offer exclusive offers to those signed up with their mobile/ text offers. These offers are typically different from those sent by email and typically have to be used within a certain amount of time.
Email Signup/ Newsletter
Don’t forget to signup for the stores in which you love. Even signup for the stores in which you have to purchase gifts. I make sure to signup for all of my kid's favorite stores so I know when they’re having a sale. A lot of stores will also offer a discount by email when you signup for their newsletter. The coupon code is typically emailed within minutes and last for a couple of days for online and in-store.
