Money Saving Tips: 4 Things I Do Myself to Save Money

One of the ways that you can quickly save is learning how to do things yourself. There are so many amazing resources out there from YouTube to Pinterest. Below I'm sharing a couple of things I do myself to save money.

My Own Hair
I have to be honest. I'm actually a licensed has a dresser. However, way before becoming licensed. I still do my own hair. I have a lot of money by doing my research learning my hair and putting to work the techniques I've learned.

Nails
When I was younger, I lived for going to the nail salon. Not sure when it happened, but I quickly learned that I really enjoyed doing my own nails. I save thousands of dollars a year by down my own nails. Occasionally, I purchase items to add to my manicure kit, and I would like to switch over my nail collection to more environmentally friendly products.

Lattes
As much as I love a good latte, I make mines at home. It really helps that one of my favorite big brands is not within walking distance to my home. I love the convenience of making my own lattes. They only thing I do not own is a frother. However, I do own an immersion blender which does the trick and I recently own a french press with made frothing milk a breeze.

Cook
If you haven't noticed, we really don't go out that much, and that saves us thousands a year. I typically cook all of our meals. Of course, we have our occasional date night, and celebratory restaurant trips. However, for the most part, we cook at home.

What are some ways that you save money?

  1. I do love to save. I don't bother with my nails. I have a sensory issue and can't have anything on them. Also I don't like lattes. I do love to go out to eat though, but I limit it, and I wish I could do my own hair! But I only go like every 3-4 months.

  4. I want to save money on eating - that's for sure - but my husband ABHORS eating at home (cooking) so... We eat out FAR MORE than I would like to. Don't get me wrong, I too love to eat out, but I do also really think my cooking is BOMB - hahahahaha!

  5. We usually eat at home, and when my husband was working he often brought in his lunch instead of going out or eating the cafeteria food. My husband is really handy, so he saves us tons of money by being able to do home and car repairs himself.
