Simply Tasheena

To be honest, I never had a Rose Sangria until last year. I was visiting one of my favorite brunch spots and decided to give it a try. I was blown away by how refreshing this sangria was. Months later, I decided to give this a try for Easter, and my family loved the recipe. Not only is this recipe super easy to make. It's such a nice twist to a regular sangria recipe. I didn't add ice to my cups. because everything was already chilled. However, please feel free to add as much ice as you like.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 bottle rose wine
  • 1 – 2 oranges, sliced
  • 1 cup sparkling water
  • 2 tablespoons (vodka, optional)
Instructions
  1. In a large pitcher, combine pineapple, sugar. Stir until sugar has dissolved.
  2. Stir in wine, orange slices. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. Top with sparkling water before serving.

This post is sponsored by Three Olives Rosé Vodka but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

It's officially girls night in season and what better way to have your girlfriends over for some lite bites and Three Olives Rosé Vodka. What I love about a girl's night is that it's typically at one of my besties houses and it doesn't require much. Our girl's night in is typical totally randomly followed by a bunch a group text messages. Today I'm sharing the best tips for hosting a pretty epic girls night in.

Location
Unless you love having girls night at your house. I suggest rotating the location of the girl's night. Girls night in also doesn't have to be at someone's home. Everyone can pitch in to have it at a local hotel or a hotel that close by in another state. If it's more convenient to have it at your home and everyone is okay with it. The party is at your house!

Food/Beverages
I like to keep our menu pretty consistent and potluck style. Prior to the festivities happening. Everyone agrees on what they're going to bring and a text is sent out confirming. I like to get all of the boring stuff out of the way. If everyone typically brings the same items, that's perfect. Just send a text and/or email confirming the details. I also like to create a signature cocktail of the night. This is a wonderful opportunity to try my favorite summer cocktail Spritz and Giggles using Three Olives Rosé Vodka.

Theme
I love creating themes for girls' night. 80's, the 90s, a cocktail party where everyone dresses up?! The possibilities are really endless and defiantly change based on the time of year. We pretty much get all of the seasons in Connecticut. We like to do all of the fun outdoors stuff during the warmer months.

Remember girls night end is making sure that everyone is having the best time. If for everyone's input. We even had a Netflix binge-watching girls night in. It was so much fun and didn't require much. With everyone being so busy nowadays. It's always really nice to meet up with girlfriends.

Do you have any girls night in tips?

Whether you're planning a girl night in or just want a little nightcap. Below I'm sharing 4 Boozy Drinks to Enjoy This Winter. As you can tell from this list. I actually prefer "girlie" drinks as I like to call them. I actually have a ton of drink recipes that I hope to share with you guys. I'm not a huge drinker. However, I love creating pretty cocktails for my guests. Plus, they make the best conversational pieces. I typically get “How did you make this”
From this list, Coquito Recipe (Puerto Rican Egg Nog) is one of my favorites. I'm a huge fan of eggnog and I've been making Coquito for years. It's such a nice treat to have during the holidays. This is one of my family favorites as well. Because I usually only make it during the winter months. Not sure why we could defiantly enjoy this all year long. I have to change that!

Anywho, do you have a favorite winter beverage?

While shopping I purchased some cranberries and really wasn’t sure what I was going to do with them. I saw a recipe on Facebook for cranberry orange sangria and I was like “this is perfect”. It looked so delicious and refreshing. I made it for the first time for my guest on Christmas and they loved it. The first batch was gone in a flash. So fast that I didn't get any pictures. I decided to make it as well for my aunts birthday dinner and this time actually garnish the cups for all of my guest. It's something about receiving a pretty garnished drink that makes me feel as if I’m on a tropical island somewhere. This time my guest were in all over their drinks. I even froze some cranberries on a wooden sewer instead if using ice cubes. My guest loved how cute the frozen cranberries were. Might I add this drink taste as good as it looks. Me being me, I didn’t use the wine recommend in the recipe, of course, I wasn't running out to the store. I believe that any white wine would do. Typically, when I make regular sangria, I purchase the sangria wine and just add the fruit and sugar. I love how simple this recipe is to make. Plus, having pretty straws around just make it a bonus.

Have you ever tried cranberry orange sangria? Are you a sangria fan?
