Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale Beauty Picks and Wish List

Lately, I’ve been trying to regrow veggies. This has been totally trial and error for me. Below I will be sharing tips that have helped me along the way. Also, I hope to do a propagate post to share what has been working for me as well.

Scallions

I’ve had the most success with regrowing green onion. Starting in my home, and planting in my garden once the plant grows inside and starts to grow roots.

Organic

It’s so important to use organic veggies when trying to regrow veggies due to GMOs.

Regrow More Than One

I made the mistake of only regrowing one item at a time. I’m not encouraging you to purchase out of the norm. However, I made the mistake of only growing one plant at a time, and unfortunately, I had everything on hand to at least grow two. Not all plants’s/seeds will make it.

Pineapple

Twist the top. Allow to air dry a couple of days prior to placing in water. Do not completely submerge the pineapple top in water, only the base of the plant. Change the water often

Avocado

Place the avocado in water for 24hrs. Remove the skin and place it back into the water until the seed starts to grow a root. Change the water often.

Have you tried regrowing veggies?

Happy Monday! It's starting to feel a little bit like fall around these parts. It's so bittersweet for me. I really do enjoy the summer months, and it likes they really don't last for too long. I'm thankful for the warmer days we have, and the time I'm able to spend outside. Also, I've already started to transition Pumpkin Spice tea back into my daily routines. Of course, just to make the transition a lot easier. LOL, Anywho...

My August 2020 Trip To The Rose Garden

I may or not be the only person baking homemade vegan cookies without central air in ninety-degree temps. I have a major sweet tooth. What can I say...the heart wants, what it wants. Instead of leaping for the not so healthy option. I opted to make these cookies. If you're anything like me. I need my cookies to be super chewy and soft. The major bonus is that these cookies are healthy. So, cheers to healthy snacking during the summer months.

These cookies are...

• Chewy
• Flavorful
• Healthy
• Flourless

What's your favorite cookie combination?

I know we’re well into July however, I wanted to share a few things that I’m Proud of in July. Though, I don’t do this often. I feel that it’s so important to celebrate the small wins. Below, I’m sharing a few things that I’m proud from July.

5 Things I’m Proud of in July

Garden

Last year was actually my worse year for my garden. I just didn’t have the time. I didn’t make the time. I don’t even remember harvesting anything in July. Let alone averaging a weekly harvest. This year, however, I took time out for my garden, it has been such a rewarding experience.

Took Time off When Needed

I’ve been working a lot. It’s been really nice to take time off when needed.

Consistently Journaled

If you’ve been following me for a while. You know that I love to journal. It’s something that’s so therapeutic about journaling. I’m so happy that I took the time out daily to the journal.

Cooked

Growing up, my mom typically did not cook often during the summer months. We didn’t have central air. Therefore, our home was pretty warm during the summer. I 100% can totally relate to my mom. I’m proud of myself for cooking. It’s something that I actually enjoy doing and it really wasn’t a hassle. Plus, Dream Dinners really made the process a lot easier for me.

Grilled Often

One of the things that I really wanted to take advanced off during the summer months is utilizing our grill. A lot of our meals were prepared on the grill which my family loved.

Do you have anything that you’re proud of?

Happy Monday! I hope you had an amazing weekend. Last week we had a tornado hit some parts of my state. Unfortunately, we’re not used to tornados in my state and most of my state is still without power. I was without power for a day. I had no idea of the severity of the matter until days went by, and a lot of my friends and family were still without power. I’m thankful that the power is being restored, and the tornado could have been a lot worse.

I spent most of my weekend relaxing and tending to my garden. Which was really relaxing. I’m thankful that my garden wasn’t impacted by the storm, some of my fellow gardeners in CT lost their gardens... I was able to harvest some veggies this week which I was super excited about...

How was your weekend?
