Hey Gorgeous,

I've been holding onto something big, and I'm finally ready to share it with you. After two years of writing, revising, and pouring my heart onto paper, my book "Unbothered: The Single Woman's Guide to Building Wealth, Finding Purpose, and Creating the Life You Want" is finally here!

This Book Was Born From a Revolution

Six years ago, I thought my life was ending when my marriage ended. I was 31, starting over, and drowning in shame. Not just the personal shame of a relationship that didn't work out, but the cultural shame that hits different when you're a single woman—especially a single Black woman.

You know the conversations I'm talking about. The family gatherings where well-meaning relatives ask when you're going to "find somebody." The assumptions that something must be wrong with you if you can't "keep a man." The pressure to settle because your "biological clock is ticking."

But here's what I discovered in those six years: Being single isn't a problem to solve—it's a superpower to leverage.

The Numbers Don't Lie

Did you know that single women are:
  • The fastest-growing group of home buyers (53% of all single-person purchases)
  • Starting businesses at 6 times the rate of white women
  • Contributing $2.4 trillion annually to the U.S. economy
  • More likely to have advanced degrees than any other demographic
We're not waiting in the wings for our lives to begin. We're out here changing the world, building empires, and redefining what success looks like on our own terms.

But We Need Our Own Playbook

Here's the problem: Most advice isn't written for us. Financial guidance assumes you have a partner to split expenses with. Career advice doesn't address the unique advantages of being single. Relationship advice focuses on finding someone rather than thriving while you're looking (or choosing not to look).

That's why I wrote "Unbothered."

What Makes This Book Different

This isn't another "love yourself first" book (though self-love is important!). This is a strategic guide for:

✨ Building wealth using my proven EMPIRE method—multiple income streams that actually work ✨ Leveraging your singleness for career acceleration and professional success ✨ Creating chosen family that supports and celebrates your authentic self
✨ Dating with standards when you're ready (and being completely okay if you're not) ✨ Navigating family pressure and cultural expectations with grace and boundaries ✨ Escaping the "Strong Woman" trap that keeps successful women isolated

This Book Is For You If:
  • You're tired of being asked when you're going to "settle down"
  • You want practical strategies for building wealth and success on your terms
  • You're ready to stop apologizing for your standards and achievements
  • You need guidance that addresses the real challenges single women face
  • You're part of the single woman revolution (whether you realize it or not)

Your Investment in Your Future

I could have written another generic self-help book, but single women deserve better. We deserve a guide that acknowledges our unique challenges and celebrates our incredible power.

"Unbothered" is that guide.

A Personal Note

Writing this book was scary. I had to be vulnerable about my divorce, my mistakes, my struggles with family pressure, and my journey to loving my single life. But I knew if my story could help even one woman feel less alone and more empowered, it was worth it.

If you've been waiting for permission to live your life on your own terms, consider this your official invitation. Your unbothered era starts now.

The holiday season is often portrayed as a time for family, friends, and romantic connections, leaving many single people feeling a bit out of place. But let me tell you, being single during the holidays can be just as magical, fulfilling, and joyful — it’s all about mindset and embracing the season in your own unique way. Here are some tips for navigating the holidays as a single person while still making the most of the festivities.

1. Reframe the Holiday Narrative

It’s easy to get caught up in the pressure of holiday movies and social media posts that often highlight couples and families. However, remember that the holidays are about more than just romantic love. It’s a time to celebrate your journey, friendships, family, and most importantly, *self-love*. Use this time to redefine what the holidays mean to you, focusing on gratitude, joy, and the traditions that bring you happiness.

2. Create New Traditions

Who says holiday traditions need to revolve around couples or family gatherings? One of the best parts of being single is having the freedom to create your own traditions! Whether it's hosting a Friendsgiving, having a cozy movie marathon, or taking a solo trip to see holiday lights, building your own unique traditions will make the season feel more personal and special.

3. Treat Yourself

Use the holiday season as an excuse to spoil yourself a little. Whether it’s buying that special gift you’ve been eyeing all year, treating yourself to a fancy holiday meal, or booking a spa day, this is your time to indulge. You deserve to feel pampered, so don't hesitate to make yourself a priority.

4. Spend Time with Loved Ones

Being single doesn't mean being alone. Lean into your friendships and family connections. Host a holiday party, plan a festive game night, or organize a virtual gift exchange. The people who love you will want to spend time with you, so create opportunities to connect with them, even if you’re not in a relationship.

5. Volunteer and Give Back

One of the most fulfilling ways to spend the holidays is by giving back. Volunteering at a local charity, helping at a soup kitchen, or donating to causes you care about can provide a deep sense of purpose and connection. The joy of helping others often amplifies the true spirit of the season, and it can be an incredibly rewarding experience that lifts your spirits.

6. Practice Mindfulness and Self-Care

The holidays can sometimes trigger feelings of loneliness or comparison, especially when scrolling through social media. When these moments arise, take time to practice mindfulness and self-care. This can mean journaling your thoughts, going for a nature walk, or engaging in a relaxing hobby like baking or reading. Grounding yourself in the present moment and focusing on self-compassion will help keep those negative feelings at bay.

7. Embrace Solo Adventures

Traveling solo can be one of the most empowering experiences, and the holiday season offers a unique opportunity to explore new places. Whether it's a short getaway to a cozy cabin or a trip to a bustling city decked out in holiday lights, solo travel allows you to connect with yourself, meet new people, and make lasting memories. Plus, you get to decide the itinerary — no compromises!

8. Celebrate Your Freedom

Being single means you have the freedom to do exactly what you want during the holidays. No juggling in-laws, compromising on plans, or stressing over gifts for a partner. You can spend your holidays exactly how you like — whether that’s binge-watching holiday movies, traveling, or cozying up with a good book.

9. Plan for the New Year

As the holiday season winds down, take time to reflect on your personal goals and aspirations for the upcoming year. Being single gives you the opportunity to focus on your growth, health, and happiness. Set new goals, make vision boards, or create a list of things you’d like to accomplish in the new year. The holidays can be a time of renewal, so use this moment to plan your future with excitement and intention.

At the end of the day, the holidays are what you make of them. Whether you’re single or not, this time of year is about embracing joy, connection, and love in all its forms. So, pour yourself a glass of eggnog, put on your favorite holiday sweater, and remember that the season is meant to be celebrated — just as you are.

Happy holidays to all the amazing singles out there!

Last year I spent my first-holiday single, and boy was it an eye-opener. I think it’s so easy to give advice to friends and loved ones about being single during the holidays until you’re in that position. Trust me, I would always encourage my friends/family to enjoy their single years, and pretty much live life up. Boy has the tables turned, those same tips I was once given. I’m taking myself. When you love the holidays it can be hard when you would love to spend that time with the “love of your life”. This is also engagement season, so left and right you’re going to see posts on social media about people getting engaged. Though you want to be happy for them. It honestly can be a little overwhelming. Whether you want to get married or not. Have children or don’t or simply just want to be a support system for your single friends/family. I’m sharing tips below, on how to survive the holidays, and embrace your singleness. This post is also primarily for people who are not looking for someone to make them happy. I believe happiness is an inside job.

Take a Solo Trip

Though it’s currently a pandemic, I’m hoping someone will read this post years from now, and is able to travel. Let’s face it. Not everyone lives in a hotspot, and some people live in prime travel destinations. Do your due diligence and book a trip. Travel to your favorite destination. Remember your piece of mind is so much more important. Especially, if you plan on attending a toxic family gathering.

Tradition

This is the perfect time to create your own tradition. Have you ever wanted to see drive through a light show on Christmas Eve? Spend the day making homemade gifts or binge-watching your favorite shows? This is the perfect time to create those traditions.

Communicate

Be honest. Share with your friends and family how you’re feeling. Let them know that the holidays are rough for you being single. Communication is key.

Seek Help

I’m a strong believer in seeking help. Your friends are not your therapist. Do the research and find a therapist to assist you with getting through the holidays. This can be such a wonderful way to not have to hold back on what’s on your mind.

Volunteer

Volunteering is a great way to give back during the holiday season. It’s honestly a win-win situation because you’re spending time assisting those in need.

Journal

I've been journaling for as long as I can rmemeber. Spend some time to journal and reflect on what you want. This is a great way to do a brain dump as well.

To whom this may apply to...

This message is for those who have been in a serious relationship. Though, I know these next couple of months are going to be hard. Think about what it was like Being unhappy in a relationship for the holidays.
