Happy Monday! The weather has been gorgeous in Connecticut, and I've been soaking up every inch of the sun. Over the weekend I spent time with family and attended a two-year-old princess-themed birthday party, and it really took me back to when my children were younger. Two years old is such a fun age, children's imaginations really run wild, and it's a lot of fun to be around... I also spent some time organizing my closet and putting away some of my summers clothes. Though I'm trying to hold on to every second of this warm weather. Whether I like it or not, fall/winter is right around the corner.

Happy Monday! I wanted to check in to make sure everyone is safe, we had a tornado touch down in my state on Friday, and a tornado watch Sunday into Monday. The weather was actually perfect on Saturday, however, the store shelves were bare in a lot of stores due to the pending storm... The weather has offically cooled down on Sunday after the heatwave we had for most of the week. Though, I'm not compiaing because fall/winter will be fast approaching in Conntectucut. If you noticed, I haven't posted about my garden. At some point I plan on sharing an update, however I started all of my plants from seeds and I'm having a slow start. I don't believe I have one pepper plant, everytime I transfer my seelings something eats them, I'm going to continue to try. But something has been snacking on the plants in my garden, I was so hopeful about having my very own pumpkins, and I no longer see the baby plants. I even tried loafs for the first time this year... Even with the heat, my garden just seems so behind. Again, at some point I'll post a garden update... Anywho...

Happy Monday! I'm loving the short suite trend, this trend started last spring, and I'm so happy that it carried over to this summer. Living in Connecticut, August can be pretty unpredictable in terms of weather temperature, with some days super warm, and other days feeling more like fall. This past weekend the weather was perfect in my state, this is my first year not having to go back-to-school shopping, and I've been asked "How does it feel?" and honestly, I'm still processing how fast the last eighteen years have gone, it feels like just yesterday I was carrying him into daycare... I still remember his first day of school, my son wasn't able to ride the school bus in Kindergarten due to my work schedule, he was super excited about entering the first grade and finally being able to take the school bus, like a big boy. WOW, how time really waits for no one... I plan on posting some helpful tips for moms with school-aged children, I get it! I remember having so many questions and also triple-checking my Back-To-School shopping list. My one piece of advice for school-aged parents is to enjoy the process, it goes by really fast... Anywho

Happy Monday! It’s officially the first full week of July! It rained most of the weekend, and I’m so thankful that it warmed up just in time for Forth of July. I didn’t do much this past weekend. I spent some time checking on my garden, and being amazed by the growth...I have to start working on my fall harvest. Happy Monday! I had the most amazing weekend. My daughter graduated from college a couple of weeks ago, and we were able to officially celebrate her this past weekend. It was so nice to spend time with friends, and family. Plus, the weather was absolutely gorgeous with temps in the 90’s.

Happy Memorial Day! I can't believe it's the last day of May. I've noticed some of my favorite states had a cold front like Connecticut. It was in the low 50's all weekend, and it rained. I'm thankful that I had an amazing weekend. I was able to run errands, and eat some of my favorite foods, and of course, get some shopping done. I don't have much planned for today. Though, it's going to be warmer outside. Looking forward to getting back in my garden.

This past Friday I was honored at the 100 WOC event in the state of Connecticut. It was really nice to get out and get dressed. I can't remember the last time I wore a gown.
