Simply Tasheena

Hey, Gorgeous! ☕

I need to take a deep breath before I write this because... I WROTE A BOOK.

Like, an actual, real, published-on-Amazon BOOK.

And if you know me at all, you know this is not something I ever thought I'd say. But here we are, and I'm equal parts terrified and excited to finally share it with you.
The 2:47 AM Moment That Started Everything

Let me take you back to the spring of 2020. It's almost 3 AM, I'm sitting at my kitchen table in the Hartford, County, tears streaming down my face as I read email after email canceling consulting contracts, speaking engagements, and brand partnerships.

In six hours, I watched 70% of my income disappear.

I had two choices in that moment:
Spiral into panic mode and start desperately job hunting
Ask a completely different question

I chose option 2. I opened a new document and typed: "What can this teach me?"

That one question—that one mindset shift—changed everything. Three months later, I was earning 40% MORE than before the crisis. Not because I worked harder or got lucky, but because I learned to think differently about setbacks.

And that night became the catalyst for documenting every mindset framework I'd been unconsciously using to build Simply Tasheena, grow my businesses, and navigate thirteen years of entrepreneurship.
Why I Finally Wrote This Book

Y'all, I resisted writing this book for TWO YEARS.

Who was I to write a business book? I'm a lifestyle blogger who posts recipes and travel content. I don't have an MBA from Harvard. I'm not some corporate executive turned entrepreneur guru.

But then I kept getting these messages from women who read my blog:

"How do you stay so confident when trying new things?"

"I want to start a blog but I'm scared no one will read it..."

"How do you charge what you're worth without feeling guilty?"

"I see other bloggers doing so well and I feel like I'm falling behind..."

And I realized—these aren't blogging problems. These are mindset problems masquerading as business problems.

Because here's what I've learned after 13 years of building businesses: Success is 20% strategy and 80% mindset. Yet 95% of business advice focuses on the strategy part.

We get endless content about "10 Ways to Grow Your Instagram" or "How to Pitch Brands" or "SEO Tips for Bloggers."

But nobody's talking about:
  • How to stop feeling like an impostor even when you have clear proof of your skills
  • How to recover when a partnership falls through or a launch flops
  • How to price your services when you feel guilty charging "too much"
  • How to take action when you're scared of making mistakes
  • How to build a business that feels meaningful, not just profitable

So I wrote the book I wish I'd had when I started Simply Tasheena in 2011.
What's Actually In This Book?

THE SUCCESS MINDSET: The Complete 30-Day Strategic Mindset System Behind Every Six-Figure Business Breakthrough is unlike any business book you've read.

It's not motivational fluff. It's not generic "think positive" advice. It's a systematic framework for rewiring how you think about business, success, and your own capabilities.

The book contains 10 strategic mindset frameworks that I've tested with over 500 women entrepreneurs (with an average income increase of 67% within 90 days—yes, really):
The 10 Frameworks:

1. From Failure to Market Research - How to extract valuable business intelligence from every setback instead of being devastated

2. The Evidence File Method - Building unshakeable confidence based on documented proof instead of hoping you're good enough

3. The CEO Morning Ritual - Starting each day with strategic intention instead of reactive chaos (this one changed my LIFE)

4. The Next Right Step Philosophy - Taking action with incomplete information instead of getting stuck in analysis paralysis

5. The Good Enough Launch Mindset - Sharing work at 80% ready and improving through feedback instead of perfectioning forever

6. Comparison as Market Intelligence - Learning from others' success instead of feeling inadequate (hello, Instagram spiral solution!)

7. Creating Your Personal Board of Directors - Building strategic relationships instead of trying to figure everything out alone

8. Money Mindset Makeover - Pricing based on value created instead of guilt or comparison

9. The Power of Strategic Boundaries - Protecting your priorities instead of saying yes to everything and burning out

10. Your Success Legacy - Connecting daily work to meaningful impact instead of just chasing achievement
Why I'm Making It FREE This Weekend

Here's the thing—I didn't write this book to get rich. (Though royalties are nice! 😅)

I wrote it because I'm tired of watching talented, capable women undervalue themselves, get stuck in their own heads, and give up on dreams that are absolutely achievable.

So this Friday through Sunday (October 4-6), THE SUCCESS MINDSET is completely FREE on Amazon Kindle.

No catch. No email required. Just download it and dive in.

After Sunday, it goes to its regular price of $9.99, but for this launch weekend, I want to get it into as many hands as possible.
The Real Stories Behind the Frameworks

Let me get vulnerable for a second...

The Evidence File Method? I created that after crying in my car before a networking event because I felt like such a fraud, even though I had partnerships with Disney and Hilton. I literally had to write down proof of my capabilities to convince myself to walk into that room.

The Good Enough Launch framework? That came from watching myself "perfect" a consulting offer for 8 MONTHS while my friend launched her imperfect version in 6 weeks and made $15K. I was so busy perfectioning that I made $0.

The Money Mindset chapter?
Y'all, I used to charge $500 for website projects that took me 40 hours. That's $12.50 an hour. For SKILLED PROFESSIONAL WORK. I was so scared of "charging too much" that I was literally earning less than minimum wage while creating thousands of dollars of value for clients.

Every framework in this book was born from a real struggle, a real mistake, or a real breakthrough moment in my entrepreneurial journey.
What Readers Are Already Saying

I gave advance copies to some fellow entrepreneurs and bloggers, and their responses made me cry (happy tears this time!):

"I thought I needed better marketing strategies. Turns out I needed better thinking strategies. This book showed me exactly where my mindset was sabotaging my business success." - Sarah M.

"The Evidence File Method alone was worth 10x the price. I went from constant self-doubt to documented confidence in 30 days." - Jennifer K.

"Finally, a business book that addresses the 80% everyone else ignores—how we think about success, failure, and our own capabilities." - Lisa T.

The Truth About Success That Nobody Talks About

Here's what thirteen years of entrepreneurship has taught me:

Success isn't about having all the answers. It's about developing the mindset that turns every experience—good or bad—into fuel for your growth.

It's not about never failing. It's about knowing how to extract strategic intelligence from every setback.

It's not about being the most talented or the most connected. It's about thinking strategically when everyone else is thinking reactively.

And honestly? That's way more achievable than "be the best" or "get lucky."

Strategic thinking is a skill you can learn. Confidence can be built on evidence. Resilience can be developed through frameworks.

You don't have to figure this out through painful trial and error like I did. You can learn from my mistakes, use frameworks that have been tested by hundreds of women, and accelerate your path to sustainable success.
My Promise to You

If you read this book and actually implement the frameworks (not just read and forget), you will experience measurable transformation in:

✨ Your confidence making business decisions
✨ Your ability to recover from setbacks
✨ Your willingness to take action despite uncertainty
✨ Your confidence discussing money and pricing
✨ Your strategic relationships and support systems
✨ Your work-life boundaries and overall satisfaction
✨ Your connection between daily success and meaningful impact

This isn't hype. This is based on documented results from hundreds of women who've applied these frameworks.

But here's the catch: reading won't transform you. Application will.

You can download it this weekend, skim it, feel inspired, and then forget about it.

Or you can work through it systematically, implement one framework at a time, and experience genuine transformation.

The choice is yours.
Let's Do This Together

So here we are. After months of writing, editing, second-guessing, and eventually saying "good enough to help someone is good enough to launch" (practicing what I preach!)—my book is finally out in the world.

I'm nervous. I'm excited. I'm proud. I'm terrified someone will leave a one-star review saying "this is obvious" (hello, imposter syndrome!).

But mostly, I'm grateful. Grateful for this community that's supported Simply Tasheena for over a decade. Grateful for every DM asking for advice that showed me this book needed to exist. Grateful for the chance to contribute something meaningful beyond recipes and travel tips.

This weekend, THE SUCCESS MINDSET is free.

Download it. Read it. Implement it. Tell me what you think.

And if it helps you think more strategically, act more confidently, or recover more quickly from the inevitable challenges of entrepreneurship?

That will be worth more to me than any bestseller list.

Let's transform some mindsets together. 💪✨

Hey Gorgeous,

I've been holding onto something big, and I'm finally ready to share it with you. After two years of writing, revising, and pouring my heart onto paper, my book "Unbothered: The Single Woman's Guide to Building Wealth, Finding Purpose, and Creating the Life You Want" is finally here!

This Book Was Born From a Revolution

Six years ago, I thought my life was ending when my marriage ended. I was 31, starting over, and drowning in shame. Not just the personal shame of a relationship that didn't work out, but the cultural shame that hits different when you're a single woman—especially a single Black woman.

You know the conversations I'm talking about. The family gatherings where well-meaning relatives ask when you're going to "find somebody." The assumptions that something must be wrong with you if you can't "keep a man." The pressure to settle because your "biological clock is ticking."

But here's what I discovered in those six years: Being single isn't a problem to solve—it's a superpower to leverage.

The Numbers Don't Lie

Did you know that single women are:
  • The fastest-growing group of home buyers (53% of all single-person purchases)
  • Starting businesses at 6 times the rate of white women
  • Contributing $2.4 trillion annually to the U.S. economy
  • More likely to have advanced degrees than any other demographic
We're not waiting in the wings for our lives to begin. We're out here changing the world, building empires, and redefining what success looks like on our own terms.

But We Need Our Own Playbook

Here's the problem: Most advice isn't written for us. Financial guidance assumes you have a partner to split expenses with. Career advice doesn't address the unique advantages of being single. Relationship advice focuses on finding someone rather than thriving while you're looking (or choosing not to look).

That's why I wrote "Unbothered."

What Makes This Book Different

This isn't another "love yourself first" book (though self-love is important!). This is a strategic guide for:

✨ Building wealth using my proven EMPIRE method—multiple income streams that actually work ✨ Leveraging your singleness for career acceleration and professional success ✨ Creating chosen family that supports and celebrates your authentic self
✨ Dating with standards when you're ready (and being completely okay if you're not) ✨ Navigating family pressure and cultural expectations with grace and boundaries ✨ Escaping the "Strong Woman" trap that keeps successful women isolated

This Book Is For You If:
  • You're tired of being asked when you're going to "settle down"
  • You want practical strategies for building wealth and success on your terms
  • You're ready to stop apologizing for your standards and achievements
  • You need guidance that addresses the real challenges single women face
  • You're part of the single woman revolution (whether you realize it or not)

Your Investment in Your Future

I could have written another generic self-help book, but single women deserve better. We deserve a guide that acknowledges our unique challenges and celebrates our incredible power.

"Unbothered" is that guide.

What Readers Are Already Saying:

"Finally! A book that treats my single life as an opportunity, not a problem to fix." - Sarah M.

"The financial strategies alone are worth the price. I wish I'd had this book 10 years ago." - Jessica L.

"Tasheena gets it. Every page felt like a conversation with a wise friend." - Maria R.

A Personal Note

Writing this book was scary. I had to be vulnerable about my divorce, my mistakes, my struggles with family pressure, and my journey to loving my single life. But I knew if my story could help even one woman feel less alone and more empowered, it was worth it.

If you've been waiting for permission to live your life on your own terms, consider this your official invitation. Your unbothered era starts now.

Hey, Gorgeous!

I'm literally sitting here with butterflies in my stomach as I write this post. After months of writing, editing, and refining, "The Multi-Stream Mindset: How to Build Multiple Revenue Streams Without Burning Out" is finally live on Amazon Kindle!

But before I share the link and ask for your support (yes, I'm totally going to do that 😊), I want to tell you the real story of why this book exists and why I believe it can change your entrepreneurial journey.
The Question That Started Everything

Two years ago, I was speaking at an entrepreneurship conference when a woman in the audience asked me a question that stopped me cold:

"Tasheena, you make it look so easy—content creation, consulting, your logistics business, the nonprofit work. But I can barely manage my one business without feeling overwhelmed. How do you do it without going crazy?"

I started to give my usual answer about systems and time management, but then I realized something: I was assuming everyone knew what I'd learned through years of trial and error. I was skipping over the frameworks, the strategic thinking, and the systematic approach that made it all possible.

That moment made me realize I had a responsibility to share not just the inspiration, but the implementation. Because here's what I've learned...

The Multi-Stream Mindset Isn't About Working More—It's About Working Strategically

For too long, I watched talented entrepreneurs put all their eggs in one basket, then stress about what would happen if that basket broke. I watched people with multiple interests get told to "pick one thing and stick to it." I watched brilliant minds scattered across random side hustles instead of building strategic portfolios.

Meanwhile, I was quietly building something different: a collection of businesses that actually made each other stronger.

When brand partnerships slowed down during economic uncertainty, my consulting business thrived because companies needed help adapting. When I spoke at conferences about content creation, people hired me for logistics consulting because they saw my systems thinking in action. When I worked with nonprofits on youth development, I met board members who became consulting clients.

This isn't luck. It's strategy.

What Makes This Book Different

There are plenty of books about "multiple income streams" out there, but most of them fall into two categories:
Get-rich-quick schemes that promise easy money with no real strategy
Academic theories that sound good but don't provide practical implementation

"The Multi-Stream Mindset" is different because it's based on:

✅ 10+ years of actually building businesses across different industries (not just theorizing about it)

✅ 100+ speaking engagements where I've shared and refined these frameworks with thousands of entrepreneurs

✅ Hundreds of client success stories from people who've implemented these strategies in their own unique situations

✅ Real systems and processes that I use daily to manage my own portfolio

Here's What You'll Actually Learn

Part I: The Foundation - We start with mindset and what I call your "Zone of Genius"—that sweet spot where your unique skills, passions, and market demand intersect.

Part II: The Blueprint - I break down the four core stream types that form the foundation of every successful multi-stream portfolio: Content Creation, Consulting Services, Traditional Business Ventures, and Impact-Driven Revenue.

Part III: The Execution - This is where the rubber meets the road. I show you exactly how to launch streams strategically, build systems that scale, and leverage speaking opportunities to amplify everything else.

Part IV: The Mastery - We dive into advanced portfolio management, including when to add new streams, when to exit underperforming ones, and how to build legacy wealth that extends beyond your personal involvement.

The Stories That Drive Me

Throughout the book, I share real stories—not just mine, but from entrepreneurs who've taken these frameworks and created their own success:

Sarah, who went from struggling freelance marketer to six-figure multi-stream entrepreneur with a podcast, consulting practice, marketing agency, and community impact program

Steven, who left his corporate VP role to build a portfolio that now generates more income than his executive salary while giving him the freedom he never had in corporate

Jennifer, a single mother who built multiple streams around her teaching expertise, eventually earning twice her teacher's salary while creating educational opportunities for hundreds of children

These aren't overnight success stories. They're real people who applied strategic thinking to build sustainable, fulfilling businesses that serve their values and goals.

My Personal Why

Here's the thing—I didn't write this book to become a bestselling author (though that would be nice 😉). I wrote it because I believe we're at a turning point in how people think about work, security, and success.

The old model of depending on a single employer or single business is broken. We need new frameworks for building security through strategic diversification. We need approaches that honor our diverse interests while creating focused value in the marketplace.

Most importantly, we need to show that building multiple streams isn't about working yourself to death—it's about creating systems that give you more freedom, security, and impact than any single stream could provide.

What I'm Asking For

If this resonates with you, I'd be incredibly grateful for your support in three ways:

1. Get the book and implement the frameworks. Seriously, don't just read it—use it. Test the strategies. Adapt them to your situation. Make them work for your unique goals and circumstances.

👉 Get "The Multi-Stream Mindset" on Amazon Kindle for $9.99

2. Leave an honest review. If the book provides value, please take five minutes to leave a review on Amazon. Reviews help other entrepreneurs find the book and make informed decisions about whether it's right for them.

3. Share with someone who needs this message. We all know people who are talented but struggling because they're depending on a single income source. If you know someone who could benefit from these frameworks, please share this post or send them the Amazon link.

What's Next for Me

Publishing this book feels like the completion of one chapter and the beginning of another. I'm planning a book tour (virtual and in-person) to share these concepts with even more entrepreneurs. I'm developing advanced implementation programs for people who want deeper support in building their multi-stream portfolios. And I'm continuing to build my own businesses using these exact frameworks.

But honestly? Right now I'm just excited to get these ideas into your hands and see what you create with them.

A Personal Thank You

To my social media family who has supported this journey from the beginning—THANK YOU. You've been part of testing these ideas, refining these frameworks, and creating the community that makes this work meaningful. Many of the strategies in this book exist because you asked great questions, shared your challenges, and celebrated the victories along the way.

This book is as much yours as it is mine.

Ready to Build Your Multi-Stream Empire?

The frameworks are ready. The roadmap is clear. Your multi-stream future is waiting.
